Maxine February talks to Taariq and Rashied about their experiences with code switching and their perceptions of how language operates in different scenarios

Call center agents, Taariq and Rashied , shed light on how code switching occurs within the industry and reflect on their own experiences with international clients and customers over the phone.

In dealing with international clients, they say that communication in the business world is usually expected to be along the lines of English, however the etiquette and means of speaking is significantly different to colloquial talk between people in South Africa.
